Director

Sara Morishige resides in San Francisco and is President of the Kodama Foundation. Sara is involved in the full range of the foundation's work, which has an emphasis on design literacy and thinking. She’s exploring the nexus of design thinking, public institutions, and our physical environment in relation to mental health and social justice.

With design thinking as a foundation, Sara has focused on a collaboration with SFUSD and IDEO to create a student-centered, financially stable system that engages kids in eating good food. The Future Dining Experience is an explorative effort which seeks to prepare the next generation to make sound eating choices in a dignified environment.

Sara is a native of San Jose, California, and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2000 with a Bachelor of Art in Political Science.
